What an honor it is to finally have my own little corner where I can share my experiences and articles I have written. Amanda is my given name it means Ahava (love) in Hebrew. I was raised Torah Observant from Birth and what an adventure this has been. I would not changed it at all, ok maybe one or two things like having friends (community) in the same faith or not going to public school...

My Abba is Jewish American (John Carney), born right in Miami Beach and my mother (Amanda) is from Colombia, she immirgrated here in her early 20's.  They met while living in the same apartment building in Miami Beach and the rest is History, they had me and my brother and we grew up keeping Shabbat and all commanded feast Days. I have so many memories of going to so many different areas of the country and outside of the country for Sukkot, and eating Kosher and so much more.

Fast Foward, I grew up and had my son Eliad. Unfortunaltely I made a terrible decision to marry outside the faith due to lack of grounded and available Torah Observant men, instead of having faith in the Father to bring him striaght to me. I unknowingly married a biblical sociopath and that definitely has had more consequences than I have ever had to endure, but Abba is great! He only made my faith that much stronger! Word of advice to you young single ladies reading this. Focus on the Father, and pray about it, wait, be patient, and please, please, please do NOT marry a man who is spiritually unyoked and NOT Torah Observant in Messiah. I will be posting more about this soon...

Prior to having my son, I had never held a baby before and I was so nervous yet excited.

That second night in the hospital (unplanned c section), I was alone with my son and I started to pray and dedicate my first born son to our Creator. In that moment, I felt a Love like any other I have ever felt in my life. The love radiated from every direction all around me. It was the most beautiful gift Yahweh has ever given to me. In that moment he showed me what his love looked like for all of us. In that moment he instilled everything I needed to be a mother and spoke to me and said I was to Homeschool him.

I am a Mother to Eliad, Daughter to my parents, a Friend to so many and in a Courtship with a man (whom also has Torah Observant parents) who YHWH miraculously placed in my life, (Thanks to my matchmaker, all the way from Oklahoma) who will prayerfully fulfill the role of a Father to my son and a covering to me. Until then I remain under my fathers covering.

This Torah Observant Blog will be my avenue to share my lifes experiences with everyone and help other Mamas of the Tribe who are coming into this faith. A place of comfort and a place where we can laugh and cry together, learn and grow. So many women I know, say countlessly, how much they wish they had a place to go where they can get the "how to" being Torah Observant. How does this look in everyday life? How to I apply Yahweh's commandments in my life?

Come join us on Facebook at the Mamas of the Tribe (MOT) Torah Observant Mama Group. Its a closed group, just request to be added! We speak on all types of Topics from being a Mama to Torah Topics. If You are new to Torah dont worry, its a great place for fellowship and asking questions.

Why did I choose Mamas of the Tribe? It is typically known when speaking to a Jewish person and they find out that you are Jewish, they will say, "aaaah, your a MOT (Member of the tribe)". Judah is just one tribe. There is also Reuben, Simeon, Issachar, Zebulun, Benjamin, Dan, Naphtali, Gad, Asher, Ephraim and Manasseh. Each one of us belongs to a tribe, when Moshiach returns we will all know where!

I am excited for all of you to join me on this Journey!

P.S. Why Did I say "Meet the Torah Lawyer Family"? Because everyone who meets me and my Father says we should have been lawyers! I dont think any of us could do it on a secular level, but we definitely are advocates for Yahweh's Kingdom! Blessed be his name Yahweh forever and ever. Leo Lam Vaed!

Shalom,

Amanda Roth.
